2014 IPMS Nationals – Humor
I normally would have included the ‘Humor in Modeling’ category with the ‘Everything Else’ group, but there’s a fantastic Anime vignette that I just love – the more you would look at this thing, the more detail you can see. Tiny cans of Tamiya paint, an airbrush, awards from contests and nationals, bottles of paint and glue, not to mention lots and lots of model boxes. This was one of my favorites from the show.

There were some pretty amazing dioramas and vignettes on display, as usual.
2014 IPMS Nationals – Automotive
Over 300 cars on the tables this year. I sponsored a special award in this category, and the winner of “The Palumbo Award for Best Road-Racing Subject” was Andy Caldwell from the Florida IPMS Space Coast club. It was a really great little 1/43 Shelby Cobra.

2014 IPMS Nationals – Space & SciFi
Some great SciFi models on display, including a Rebel Blockade Runner, mastered by Pelikan member Randy Cooper, and a fantastic scratch-built Star Destroyer.
